After removal to federal court, there was a NOTICE of Settlement by MidFirst Bank, filed. (Hopkins, Shelley) (Entered: 08/31/2022) with the case subsequently dismissed with prejudice.

The lawsuit was commenced by the homeowers, the Hughes – David and Heather in Harris County District Court on July 5, 2022 filed by Erick Delarue to stop foreclosure by TRO.

Official documents confirmed William was in Virginia and Heather in another property in Baytown, Texas.

A review of Harris County real property records confirms that there was a first note for $122k and a second to HUD for just shy of $10k.

There’s a warranty deed filed for $10 dollars in consideration conveying the Hughes interests to Quantum Real Estate Investments Inc recorded on Oct. 27, 2022.

It is now Jan 10, 2025 and there has never been a release of either the first or second mortgages recorded.

Quantum Real Estate Investments, Inc. filed as a Domestic For-Profit Corporation in the State of Texas on Monday, December 27, 2010 and is approximately fifteen years old, according to public records filed with Texas Secretary of State.
